The Florida-Caribbean Chapter
of the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant and
Institutional Education (I-CHRIE) is a professional
association comprised of Hotel, Restaurant, Culinary
Arts and Tourism educators from colleges and universities
located in the state of Florida and all Caribbean Islands.
Florida-Caribbean CHRIE is one of twenty chapters or
federations of International CHRIE.
The mission of International CHRIE, has also been adopted
by the Florida-Caribbean chapter. Our mission is to
advance quality education through proactive professional
development, research, coalitions and networks for all
of our members and constituencies.
CHRIE believes in:

in service
-- cooperation, coalitions and global networks
-- proactive change
Florida-Caribbean CHRIE meets at least twice per year.
September is in Orlando, Florida at the Rosen College
of the University of Central Florida in conjunction
with Florida Restaurant Association trade show. The
fall meeting includes an all day Friday teaching and
learning program to develop high school and community
educators in hospitality and tourism education. Spring
business meetings allow hospitality professors and educators
of member schools to explore industry leadership with
tours and lectures by professional organizations and
corporations throughout the State of Florida and the
Caribbean Islands.
